Louise Dean Centre has been helping young pregnant and parenting students to finish school and build futures for themselves and their babies since 1969. I’m thrilled that, with the support of everyone who purchased Eden’s Daughter, I am able in turn to contribute to such an amazing program.
It was also sweet to see some former colleagues from my time working at Kindred Connections Society from 2016-2019. Kindred partners with the Calgary Board of Education and Alberta Health Services to provide wrap-around support for young women who find themselves in circumstances much like Eden, the main character in my book.
